Green Tea Cheesecake

Hello all,

Here's another cheesecake~! I hate cheesecake LOL...but people keep asking for them for their birthdays... >_<... It's a green tea cheesecake garnished with chocolate curls, blueberries and a bird carved from a granny smith apple~!

Graham Cracker crust

-9 Graham Crackers, ground til crumbly
-5 Tbsp butter, melted
-2 Tbsp granulated sugar

Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix together and place in 9 inch springform pan. Bake for 8 minutes.

OR if you liked the chocolate wafer cookie crust, you have to make the cookies for it...

Chocolate Wafer Cookies

- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1.2 oz unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup plus 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp baking soda
- 7 Tbsp unsalted butter, slightly softened
- 1.5 Tbsp whole milk
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Mix flour, cocoa, sugar, salt, baking soda and butter in bowl. Combine milk and vanilla and pour into mixture. Continue to mix until lumpy/pliable. Transfer the dough onto a cutting board and knead to make sure everything is evenly blended. Roll dough into log shape, wrap in syran wrap and refridgerate until firm (at least an hour)
Preheat overn 350 degrees F. Cut the logs into 1/4 inch thick slices and place them one inch apart on a cookies sheet. Bake for 12 min. The cookie will puff up and deflate. They are ready 2 minutes after deflating. Cool cookies on wire rack.

To make the crust, do the same as you would a graham cracker crust except substitute the graham cracker with these cookies and omit the sugar.

Next is the cheesecake itself ^^"....

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 3/4 cup white sugar

  • 3 tablespoon green tea powder

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • ** NOTE: this will make a cheesecake that is 2cm in height in a 9 inch pan, so if you want something a little thicker I would double the recipe~ ^^"....

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Beat cream cheese and sugar til smooth. Mix in green tea powder, eggs, and vaniilla until thoroughly mixed. Pour into prepared pan with crust. Bake for 25 min or until the center jiggles evenly when lightly shaken~ (if the cheese cake cracks, you overbaked it >_<)

    ENJOY~! ^_^
